Every body has a story, ours is to help you turn the page. A permanent alternative to reduce your pigmentation differences.

Living with white spots or loss of pigmentation on the body, whether due to prolonged sun exposure, the aftermath of aesthetic treatments (such as laser), or the natural evolution of your skin, often affects much more than the surface of the epidermis. At Velvet Myst, we see daily the impact that these skin tone irregularities can have on confidence and self-image. Our role is not to apply a quick fix, but to initiate a true visual re-harmonization of your skin, without resorting to heavy dermatological procedures. To achieve this, our philosophy is based on two fundamental pillars:

  • Stability assessment and chromatic analysis: Because no skin has the same undertone, we never apply a generic protocol. Each process begins with a rigorous analysis of the nature of your light spots, with a request for your doctor's opinion if deemed necessary, to validate their perfect stability. We assist you in understanding your skin: our paramedical approach focuses on the overall visual balance between your depigmented areas and your natural complexion.
  • High-precision Camouflage Tattoo: Much more than just simple pigmentation, this is a cutting-edge expertise in colorimetry and technical realism. By using special high-quality pigments, we recreate point by point the exact shades of your skin tone (with warm, cool, or neutral undertones) to visually reduce the contrast of the lighter white spots. This artisan intervention allows for a harmonious and permanent blending of the mark into the surrounding healthy skin.

En combinant la haute précision technique à une écoute profondément humaine, nous vous offrons une alternative sécuritaire pour retrouver une harmonie corporelle, à votre rythme.

Before / After our special Hypopigmentation Tattoo Camouflage treatments

Different types of white spots. Different Approaches.

I specialize in camouflage through paramedical dermopigmentation of areas with stable and smooth melanin loss. Whether they are the result of sun exposure, a past aesthetic treatment, or an old healed injury, each color anomaly requires an ultra-precise and custom selection of pigments to harmonize with your skin.

Droplet Hypomelanosis

Small, round, and sharp white spots that generally appear on the arms, legs, or décolletage due to sun exposure and time.

Our action plan: With our expertise in colorimetry, we implant stable medical pigments in "flesh" color, custom formulated according to your skin undertones.

The goal is to recreate the perfect optical illusion to erase the white contrast and blend the spot into the surrounding healthy skin.

Aftereffects of aesthetic procedures

Areas of skin that have been permanently whitened and depigmented following laser treatment (hair removal, tattoo removal) or clinical cryotherapy.

Our action plan :

With our expertise in colorimetry, we implant stable medical pigments in "skin" color, custom formulated according to your skin undertones.

The goal is to recreate the perfect optical illusion to erase the white contrast and blend the spot into the surrounding healthy skin.

Stable traumatic marks

Localized pigment loss following an old superficial burn or a deep scratch. The skin has become smooth and flat again, but remains white.

Our action plan :

With our expertise in colorimetry, we implant stable medical pigments in "skin" color, custom formulated according to your skin undertones.

The goal is to recreate the perfect optical illusion to erase the white contrast and blend the spot into the surrounding healthy skin.

FAQ : Paramedical Hypopigmentation (Camouflage Tattoo)

Here are some frequently asked questions about these treatments.

Feel free to contact us for any information.

It is a high-precision paramedical dermopigmentation technique. Unlike scars or stretch marks, we do not work here on relief or texture, as the skin is already flat and healthy.

Our expertise is entirely based on colorimetry: we implant custom medical pigments, matched to your natural undertones, to erase the white contrast and blend the spot into the surrounding healthy skin.

The Inkless Scar Revision (ISR) is used to stimulate collagen and restructure the relief of damaged tissues (depressions, folds). In the case of drop hypomelanosis or laser spots, the texture of your epidermis is already perfect, but the color cells (melanocytes) have been destroyed by the sun or trauma. The Inkless would yield no results. Only the Camouflage Tattoo allows for the reintroduction of the missing color.

Vitiligo is an active and unpredictable autoimmune disease. The skin's immune system sometimes tends to attack and reject the implanted pigments. During camouflage, we mix shades of white, brown, red, and yellow to mimic your skin.

If your body rejects warm pigments (red and yellow), only white and brown remain in the dermis, which causes the tattoo to shift to a grayish or dull hue.

Furthermore, the trauma of the needle can stress your cells and trigger the reactivation of your Vitiligo. For safety ethics, cases of Vitiligo must be discussed in consultation.

No, the Camouflage Tattoo is strictly not applicable on brown spots. Trying to tattoo light pigment over this type of existing melanin overload creates a visual reaction that makes the tattoo gray (muddy effect), giving a dull and "dirty" appearance to the skin. Velvet Myst specializes exclusively in the treatment of spots white, light, or depigmented.

Yes, in the majority of cases.Autoimmune diseases (such as lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, scleroderma, or multiple sclerosis) directly affect the immune system.

Since our treatments rely on a controlled micro-injury for pigment implantation, an overactive or weakened immune system can compromise healing. A written authorization from your specialist doctor may be required before making an appointment.

The session must be refused or postponed if you are affected by:

  • Type 1 or uncontrolled diabetes: It significantly slows down cell regeneration and greatly increases the risk of infection.
  • Blood clotting disorders : Hemophilia or daily use of anticoagulants.
  • A treatment for severe acne (Roaccutane / Accutane / Isotretinoin) : You must have completely stopped this treatment for at least 6 to 12 months, as it drastically thins and weakens the skin.
  • An ongoing oncological treatment : Chemotherapy, radiotherapy or immunotherapy. The body must have recovered (generally 6 months after the end of the protocols) and your oncologist must provide written consent.

For the Tattoo Camouflage : It is a major contraindication. You must come with your natural skin color as light as possible. If we create a pigment mix on tanned skin, the camouflage will appear much too dark and inappropriate once your winter tan has faded.

Sensitivity depends on the area of the body (the belly or inner thighs are more sensitive than the buttocks or hips) and each person's tolerance threshold. The sensation is generally similar to light tingling or scratching. We work with great technical precision to minimize discomfort as much as possible.

Success depends 50% on the work done in the cabin and 50% on your home care.

  • During the following 10 to 14 days : Sun exposure, tanning, swimming (pool, spa, sauna, hammam) and intensive sports (excessive sweating the first 5 days) are strictly prohibited.
  • Fine scabs will form during the first week: you must absolutely not scratch, rub or pick them off, under penalty of ruining the result or creating a new mark. You will need to apply the recommended healing cream in a thin layer with clean hands.

Yes, this risk exists and depends on your skin type. PIH is a reaction where the skin produces an excess of melanin (dark or brown spots) following the micro-injury caused by the needles.

  • Who is at risk? Mainly medium, mixed, black or Asian skin (phototypes IV to VI), or light skin that marks very easily after a pimple or scratch.
  • Our safety protocol: For at-risk skin, we can perform a test patch (Test Patch) on a micro-area and wait 4 to 8 weeks. We may also ask you to prepare your skin at home with a specific serum (melanin inhibitor) before the appointment.

Ideally no, in order to ensure optimal working conditions.

For strict hygiene reasons, safety, and to ensure the maximum concentration of the technician during this precision procedure, companions, children as well as pets are not allowed in the treatment room. If a relative accompanies you, they should ideally wait in the waiting area at the entrance.

The consultation is a key step where we analyze in depth the texture, maturity, and risks for your scar. This moment requires all our technical expertise, dedicated time in the room, and the creation of a safe, customized treatment plan. The consultation fees reflect the value of this personalized professional analysis.

  • Good to know: All your initial inquiries as well as your first exchanges through our online form or by email to contact@velvetmyst.ca are 100% free. We will first validate the basic feasibility of your project by message before inviting you to book your official consultation or directly your 1st appointment of your treatment plan.

I do not suffer from an autoimmune disease (or I have written consent from my specialist).

I do not have any problems with uncontrolled diabetes or blood disorders.

Je comprends et j'accepte qu'une protection solaire stricte (FPS 50) sera nécessaire à vie sur la zone traitée pour préserver l'illusion d'optique du camouflage face au bronzage.

If my skin is at risk of HPI (medium/dark skin), I understand that a test patch is highly recommended, without completely eliminating the risk of reaction during the full treatment.

I agree to strictly follow the preparation and post-treatment care instructions that will be provided to me upon confirmation of my appointment.
