Each design is custom-crafted, based on your facial structure, your complexion, your style… and even your personality.
Unlike the classic “dot” application, I create an artistic pattern with:

✦ PRICING Initial Sessions (2 Appointments) Light Coverage — 450 CAD Medium Coverage — 575 CAD Full Coverage — 690 CAD Aftercare kit included (provided at the first appointment, for both sessions). Replacement kit: 20 CAD. Existing Client Touch-Ups (1 Appointment) Maintenance / Light Upgrade — 275 CAD Coverage Upgrade (Light → Full) — 415 CAD Aftercare kit included. If freckles have faded significantly (little to no base remaining), a full New Protocol (2 appointments) may be required. Coverup / Corrections Freckles done by another artist require photo approval prior to booking. Corrective work may require an additional fee, and in some cases laser removal may be recommended. Medium Coverage A balanced spread of freckles across the nose and cheeks, with gentle extensions outward. Visible yet refined, for a natural sun-kissed effect. Full Coverage A richer freckle pattern extending beyond the central face. Expressive, organic, and intentionally irregular — freckles as a defining feature. ✦ PREP Before Your Appointment For your skin to heal beautifully and respond predictably, a short preparation period is essential. 3 weeks prior • Avoid any facial fillers or injectable treatments in the area / face. 2 weeks before • Pause active or exfoliating skincare (retinol, vitamin C, AHA/BHA, brightening or resurfacing products). The week before • Avoid sun exposure, tanning, or self-tanner. • Irritated or sunburned skin cannot be treated. • Refrain from facials, facial laser treatments, waxing, or aggressive skin procedures. 48 hours before • Limit substances that may increase sensitivity or bleeding when possible: alcohol, smoking, high caffeine intake, fish oil, vitamin E, niacin, anti-inflammatory medications. 24 hours before • Avoid hot yoga, sauna, steam rooms, or heat-based activities within Day of your appointment • DO NOT drink any caffeine or tea, no blood thinner etc... • Arrive on time with clean, makeup-free skin. • Do not apply SPF or makeup to the treatment area. Important Failure to follow these guidelines may affect healing, pigment retention, and overall results, and may increase the risk of irritation or adverse skin reactions. Menstrual cycle Please note that hormonal changes during your cycle may increase skin sensitivity.
✦ PROCESS Every freckle tattoo at Velvet Myst is custom-designed directly on your skin. Freckles are placed intuitively, following your facial structure, complexion, and natural movement Size, spacing, depth, and density are intentionally varied for a realistic result The process is collaborative: we refine the design together before beginning Appointment duration varies depending on coverage and existing freckles The goal is never uniformity — but harmony, softness, and natural irregularity.
✦ POST Healing is gradual and part of the aesthetic. Freckles appear darker and more defined at first, then soften as the skin heals Active healing usually lasts 5–7 days Final results settle over 6–8 weeks Aftercare is essential for optimal results. A complete aftercare kit is provided, along with personalized instructions based on your skin. Sun exposure, friction, and unapproved skincare products during healing may affect pigment retention.
✦ BEFORE YOU BOOK Freckle tattoos are not suitable for every skin or lifestyle. You may not be an ideal candidate if you: Regularly use strong exfoliating or lightening skincare and do not plan to pause long-term Undergo facial laser treatments or plan to do so Have excessive sun exposure without consistent sun protection Have active skin conditions in the treatment area (eczema, psoriasis, active acne, etc.) Additional requirements: 18 years or older Not pregnant or breastfeeding No recent Accutane (1 year), chemotherapy, or radiation No history of keloid scarring No recent injectables or surgical procedures in the area If freckles were previously done by another artist, photo approval is required before booking.
